Jeremy: Hey, it’s Jeremy Ashburn and I’ve got Jim Downing with me. Jim, tell me, what’s the name of your business and what do you do?
James: Hey, Jeremy. The name our company is 10 Point Litter Removal. I own the company and we specialize in cleaning up parking lots, commercial parking lots and professional office buildings. We do that by simply hand picking and doing a very detailed thorough clean up of commercial buildings, strip malls, urgent care centers, community stores, things of that nature.
Jeremy: Definitely, and then do you do it all yourself? Do you have crews that help you? Or a little bit of both?
James: A little bit of both obviously. We strive to try to have everybody depending when they want it done. For instance, if it’s a retail location a lot of times we try to get everything done by nine in the morning. I certainly couldn’t get everything done myself. After either myself or one of the other crew performs the service I certainly will go around and check up on the other jobs that I didn’t personally do myself.
Jeremy: Obviously you were talking about yourself and a crew. Are you guys insured and how does that work?
James: Oh, for sure. We work for some of the larger property managers in the area. You can certainly understand in order to work at for instance a mall or somebody’s properties that cost tens of millions of dollars we have all the general liability insurance that you’d expect. Actually it’s probably more than what most would expect for the general liability.
Jeremy: Okay, definitely.
James: No worries there.
Jeremy: I know that you’ll do quotes on site so if somebody has a local business and you want to maintain that image of clean professional safe place to shop and buy food and that kind of thing. How does that work? You come to the location?
James: Yeah, normally we’re contacted either via directly on my cell phone or someone will request a quote online on our web page. After I look at the information and the address I go out there and actually just kind of give it a quick … See how many parking spaces they have, how many landscape planters. Kind of what types of establishments are in that plaza or building so I know exactly how long it’s going to take us to do the job. Quotes are done right there.
